c4a Background
The Colorado Association of Area Agencies on Aging (c4a) is made up of 16 local Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) across Colorado that provide comprehensive community-based services to older adults aged 60+ and caregivers. c4a is supported by the federal Older Americans Act and the Colorado Department of Human Services’ State Unit on Aging.
Roles of AAAs:
- Access community needs and develop and fund programs
- Educate and provide direct assistance
- Serve as portals to care
- Demonstrate responsible fiscal stewardship
